- Month 4, Day 14, Year 581 -
That was an annoying month. I can’t believe that… well… let me back up a few steps.
So there are a lot of different types of dragons. Everyone knows that. Apparently, though, there are these types of dragons called silence dragons? They can grow pretty big too. One of them decided to start hanging out near the fort. It wasn’t being threatening or anything, it was just chilling.
Turns out, though, it was spreading silence over the area around the fort. They can do that. It’s weird. And that included blocking this journal spell. It doesn’t even make sense.
Anyway, it moved on, so looks like everything’s okay now. But still. Freaking dragons.
- Month 3, Day 17, Year 581 -
So yeah, that just startled me. I was taking a nap, because what else is there to do around here, you know? And I start hearing explosions. Like, legitimate explosions. Shaking-the-ground type stuff. I go outside to see what’s going on, which, in hindsight, may not have been my smartest move.
It was a pair of dragons! A blast dragon and an oil dragon were beating the stuffing out of each other! I hauled tail right back inside. I’m no slouch when it comes to magic, but you couldn’t pay me enough to go against two full-grown dragons.

I’m still working on the answer to that question. A lot of it seems to be unconscious, you know? I’m almost worried to try and test it; seems like I’m held together pretty loosely.
In fact, just a few days ago, I got really hammered. Found out that this old fort had a wine cellar, for some bizarre reason. So, you know, I decided to get my drink on that evening.
I woke up the next morning to find out that apparently I had dissolved or melted or whatever some time during the night. The blanket I was sleeping on had absorbed me. That was fun. Thankfully, I was able to reform myself, but it took some time.
So, long story short, I think I’ve got it in me to be able to get a lot of control over how I’m formed, but it could go south really quickly if I push it too far.
- Month 3, Day 10, Year 581 -
So this building used to be a fort, apparently. That’s what I’ve heard, anyway. There are certainly enough rooms here that look like they could be from a fort. But…
There was a hot spring too! I totally wasn’t expecting that. I don’t know what kind of fort is built on a hot spring, but I tell you what, it was great to just kick back in there for an hour or two.

I am. So. Bored.
Ah… yeah, if anyone’s got any questions or just wants to talk or something, I wouldn’t mind something to lift my spirits.
- Month 3, Day 6, Year 581 -
So I’ve been hiding out here for a week, now. It really feels like it’s been longer. There’s just… nothing to do out here. I decided to explore the fort where I’m holed up a bit today… I found one of these little things.
It’s called a monoculler, I guess because whoever discovered them or made them or whatever felt like being clever. This one was dead - died a long time ago, from the looks of it. Normally, I don’t have any trouble with things like that, but today, I just couldn’t stop feeling down.
I think I really need to get out more. I hope the heat dies down soon…
